Peta Murgatroyd cannot contain her adoration for Shai, the kid she has with Maksim Chmerkovskiy. On Wednesday, the Dancing With the Stars pro posted an Instagram in honor of Shai’s sixth birthday and reflected on the mixed emotions of parenting a growing child.
Murgatroyd said, “My favorite sweet, clever hilarious son is 6.” “A few tears were shed this morning as I reflected on the passing of the baby and toddler years. However, Shai has promised he won’t grow taller than 6 feet. And I promised annual birthday celebrations, even if you remain this way indefinitely. OK, Mummy, he said.”
She said, “Life is fleeting; I want to sit in these sweet moments forever.” To an extraordinary six-year-old boy, “Happy Birthday, Shai.”
Images of the jovial 6-year-old sporting a “birthday boy” ribbon on his shirt and beaming for the camera accompanied the heartwarming message.
In addition, Murgatroyd gushed over her kid on camera on his birthday in a video she posted to Instagram Stories.
Murgatroyd, 36, said, “Today is my baby’s birthday.” “Age-wise, he’s just six. I can’t stand how cute he is. Honestly, he’s the nicest guy. He is first-rate.”
Ms. Mugratroyd said, “The morning was perfect for unwrapping presents before heading out to the class. Because of his delay, I must search for vanilla cupcakes.”
The excited parent said she was looking for vanilla cupcakes and would drop over birthday materials and gifts for Shai’s class to share in the joy of the special day.
In his post honoring the newborn, Chmerkovskiy praised Shai for being “kind, brilliant, attractive, and wonderfully humorous.”
The 42-year-old dancing expert wished “Happy birthday to my lovely, brilliant, gorgeous, and extremely amusing 6-year-old!” You’ve brought so much joy into our lives with @petamurgatroyd, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the young man you’re becoming.
“I know these six years have flown by, but I’ve experienced so much happiness simply being around you, so much feeling I’ve never felt before, and I will always be there for you as long as I live,” Chmerkovskiy concluded. “I’ve never felt a connection like this before in my life. This love is so wonderful it hurts. Annually, this is one of my most anticipated days. I can’t even begin to express how much I care for you.”
He agreed with his wife, “P.S. Please pause on the whole growing up thing for a minute.”
Six months before their extravagant New York City wedding in July 2017, the couple welcomed Shai into the world in January.
