Since she is currently single, Gisele Bündchen does not need to bring a date to the red carpet. Tom Brady’s ex-wife, who is now 42 years old, went to the Met Gala on Monday night without the NFL quarterback.
White with dazzling vertical stripes, Bündchen’s Chanel outfit was a show-stopper. She went on a performance for the cameras while wearing her feather cape. She continued on till she reached the world-famous stairway.
In 2007, she donned the identical dress to a photo session for the Korean issue of Harper’s Bazaar. This year’s featured designer, Karl Lagerfeld, doubled as the photographer for the campaign.
Since 2003, Bündchen has never missed the industry’s biggest night. In 2008, she brought her then-boyfriend, a football player, to the Met Gala. They haven’t spent much time apart since then. Three years after their final vacation together, in 2019, only a few months before the coronavirus epidemic, the couple announced their split.
They separated in October of 2022 after being married for 13 years. The exes had never gone into such depth about the breakup before. After much effort, the beautiful woman said, “we’ve grown apart.” Though it breaks my heart to see Tom in pain, I am grateful for our time together and wish the best for him.
As this was Bündchen’s first time attending the event without her husband in nearly a decade, she seemed to have no trouble mingling with the fashion elite or understanding the evening’s theme, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.”
The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute will host an exhibition of more than 150 pieces by Karl Lagerfeld, including pieces from Chanel, Balmain, Patou, Fendi, Chloe, and Lagerfeld’s own label. The iconic 85-year-old head designer at Chanel passed away in February 2019.
After his death, she told the world on Instagram that she had met Karl when she was just 17 years old. After getting to know Karl Lagerfeld, she was able to overcome her initial apprehension and eventually describe him as “one of the nicest and kindest men I have ever met.” I appreciate having these recollections of my dad, who has always been there for me.
Michaela Coel, Penélope Cruz, Dua Lipa, tennis star Roger Federer, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour will serve as co-chairs for the 2023 event. New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art holds an annual banquet to benefit its priceless collection.
