Valerie Bertinelli’s supporters raise a glass to her newfound body confidence. The Hot in Cleveland star revealed on Sunday that she had never worn a certain pair of pants previously because of the noise they made when she walked.
She informed the crowd that she had “triggered a small disguised bruise” when she wore the jeans because someone had once pointed out the friction between her thighs and told her she was “too lazy to do something about it” so that her thighs wouldn’t rub together. The 62-year-old actress said that this person “mercilessly ridiculed” her appearance.
Bertinelli added that she planned to “put the pants away forever” and that she even “changed the way” she walked sometimes while wearing them.
As for how she used to feel in the clothes, Bertinelli said, “That’s in the past.” Thanks to God, I’m happy to say that my therapy efforts are starting to show progress. That’s why I’m so excited about it now… Finally, I hear the sigh of freedom, and I can put them on.
Bertinelli added, “This is what we mean when we say ‘let go and go on,’ to the doubters who might see her TikTok post and think she has to. There is a name for what you’re going through: healing. Invisible wounds from emotional, verbal, and mental abuse are always with us.
This is the first public encounter between Bertinelli and Tom Vitale since she posted about their breakup last week. I’m over the narcissist. Narcissists are the worst, and I refuse to deal with them ever again. I’ve been able to persevere through a lot of adversity thanks to my present endeavor. She shared her knowledge freely. Having this question posed was like having a light turned on in my brain. Why was it that I was able to tolerate such a terrible circumstance? That’s why I’ve made it a priority to seek it out and improve through it; it’s given me hope for a more rewarding future. The good times have finally arrived since I have finally discovered what makes me happy. In the end, it made me happy. A life not dissimilar to the one I have today (and am grateful for), but one I can truly enjoy. That’s when I’ll know I’ve earned it, finally.
Bertinelli, sniffling through his words, remarked, “Life should be wonderful, and we should all have it. You’re at the starting line of everything. Since it’s important for everyone to like themselves, I pray you can feel it, at least a little bit. “Alright, I got it through the unpleasant part and am now working on the difficult part that will provide the biggest reward.”
After months of separation, Bertinelli and Vitale finally finalized their divorce in November. In the divorce settlement, the actress forked over $2.2 million to her ex-husband. Despite the high cost of the settlement, she was relieved to finally be alone again. Bertinelli said it was the second-best day of her life because of how great the event was.
