Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were spotted hugging each other emotionally on January 27 after it was announced that they will not be returning to their respective positions on GMA3. Look at the photo they took on their mobile cellphone.
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes appear to be publicly embracing to mark the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.
They were seen kissing and cuddling in Los Angeles on the same day that news broke that they were leaving GMA3 and ABC News.
Pictures of the TV stars hugging on the street revealed that Holmes was grinning from ear to ear. At one point, Robach intertwined Holmes’ legs with hers. Also, they were seen taking a stroll together.
In a statement issued on the same day, an ABC News spokesman confirmed the two will not be returning to GMA3: What You Need to Know.
A representative for ABC News informed E! News that after “several good talks with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about many possibilities,” it was agreed that it would be best for everyone if the two departed the network. It’s been our pleasure to work with them throughout the years, and we sincerely thank them for their commitment and hard work.
Robach and Holmes’s agents did not get back to E! News about their client’s comments.
In November, the Daily Mail published photos and video of the employees kissing in a bar and on vacation in Upstate New York, sparking dating suspicions between the two.
After the photos were released to the public, Holmes made a wry remark about how fantastic her week had been. To cover for Robach and Holmes’ “day off” on December 5, ABC substituted Gio Benitez and Stephanie Ramos as hosts.
The co-anchors of GMA3: What You Need to Know “will stay off-air until the completion of an internal evaluation,” per a letter from ABC News president Kim Godwin that E! News obtained on December 12. In the meanwhile, “there will be a rotation of anchors at GMA3.”
Together, Holmes and Robach did not think twice before leaving the internal review. There were other reports of the couple being spotted together, including one from December in Miami in which they were reportedly seen kissing passionately.
According to a source close to the situation who talked to E! News, Holmes filed for divorce from his wife Marilee Fiebig, whom he married in 2010 and with whom he shares a 10-year-old daughter called Sabine, in the same month.
And what about Robach’s history of relationships? Her relationship with Andrew Shue, her husband, appears to be at a standstill rather than having officially ended in divorce. Robach was, however, seen in New York City earlier this month presenting Shue with their new dog.
