Film by Fenty! During the Paramount Pictures introduction at the 2023 CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Thursday, Rihanna shocked the crowd.

The 35-year-old woman who is about to become a mother took the stage to announce that she will play Smurfette in a new Smurfs movie that doesn’t have a name yet. The founder of Fenty Beauty also said that, in addition to giving her voice, she is writing and creating original music for the movie and will be the project’s musical producer.

The singer showed off her sense of fun by saying that she tried to get the part of Papa Smurf but couldn’t do it. Rihanna, who is having her second child with A$AP Rocky, also said that she hopes the part will make her kids think she is cool in the future.

Even though she was only there for a short time, Rihanna made a big impression when she wore a denim dress to show off her baby bump. On the carpet, the happy mom stood for pictures while holding her baby bump.

Rihanna first used her voice to play Gratuity “Tip” Tucci in the 2015 cartoon film Home, which was made by DreamWorks.

The singer has had a big year. She performed “Lift Me Up,” which was nominated for an Oscar and is on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, on the stage at this year’s Academy Awards.

A month before, she went on stage at the Super Bowl Halftime Show and told the crowd that she was having her second child.

Rihanna, who already has an 11-month-old son, talked to ET about her big moments before her show.

“Motherhood, the Oscars, the Super Bowl, I’m still pinching myself, really,” she said next. “I’m grateful. I’m grateful.”
