Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are like a dancing parent and child. The stars from Dancing With the Stars posted a video on Sunday in which they mimic Rihanna’s halftime performance at the Super Bowl. In the footsteps of the famous singer, Peta is expecting her second child. Their 6-year-old son Shai also joined in on the action.
“It was impossible for us to resist! Shai was the highlight of the night, and @petamurgatroyd had the time of her life “the Instagram post’s caption said.
“By the way, if you know @maksimc you know that @badgalriri have been his hidden crush since “Umbrella,” and for EXTRA EXTRA points which #Riri song is Maks and Peta’s fave and was a necessity for their wedding,” she added.
Peta channels Rihanna in a red two-piece sweatsuit that lets her expanding baby bulge shine, while Maks and Shai steal the show in white hoodies.
Lip-synching to Rihanna’s “B***h Better Have My Money,” Maks and Shai do a sock-hop while she lip-syncs.
Their second pregnancy was announced in January, after a difficult journey through in vitro fertilization and miscarriage. They told their kid he was going to be a big brother earlier this month, and Maks and Peta have been gushing ever since.
Maks explained to ET that the couple decided to act normally and take things slowly because of the challenges they had conceiving.
They’ve been taking it easy with Shai at home, they said, enjoying their sanctuary before starting a family of their own.
We told [Shai] in our bathroom,” Peta remarked jokingly. “We do actually, he said as he looked at my belly and said, “Mother, you’ve got a kid in there.” Furthermore, he was so thrilled that he couldn’t help but bounce around with joy.”
