According to Nick Cannon, he “constantly talks” about how much he misses his romance with ex-wife Mariah Carey. Find out what makes the “Obsessed” performer such a “gift from God,” in his words.

Nick Cannon’s feelings for ex-girlfriend Mariah Carey are unending.

The Wild ‘n Out actor has been thinking a lot about his marriage to Mariah, which lasted for six years after they got married in 2008. Nick, who has been outspoken about his feelings for Mariah, said, “Like the greatest?” when asked who the love of his life is in an interview with The Shade Room published on March 18. I mean, that’s something I constantly broach. Suddenly it is widely shared, and all of her admirers are furious with me.

Nick not only said that Mariah was his greatest love, but he also elaborated on why he thinks so highly of her and their history together.

“I had images of Mariah Carey on my wall when I was 12 years old, and she ended up being my wife,” he said. And she’s the most awesome person I’ve ever met. The simple fact is that she is constantly cheerful and eager to help others around her. Regardless of the circumstances. That someone can function that way and shut out any negativity is mind-boggling to me. After learning how extraordinary she was, I realized she must be a myth. She’s a divine blessing.”

Nick says, “I get a lot of my pleasant disposition from her.” He is grateful to Mariah for the role she had in shaping his character.

Nick and Mariah, who are parents to twins named Monroe and Moroccan who are now 11 years old, announced their breakup in 2014 and filed for divorce the following year. The couple officially split up in 2016.

Nick now has a total of ten children after his divorce from Mariah. The 42-year-old is also the father of eight-month-old son Legendary Love and four-month-old twins Zion and Zillion with Abby De La Rosa, a 6-month-old daughter Onyx Ice Cole Cannon, and a 3-month-old daughter Halo Marie with Alyssa Scott, and a 2-year-old son Golden “Sagon” and a 5-month-old daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell. Baby Zen, Nick, and Alyssa’s first child, passed away from a brain tumor in December 2021, at the age of five months.

Mariah, who is featured in the song “Obsessed,” has been seeing her long-time companion Bryan Tanaka for more than five years. Nick had stated in July that he “really respects” Bryan but considers his relationship with Mariah to be exceptional.

“The man is fantastic with my kids and we have family reunions and everything together so I honestly appreciate that,” he remarked in a July episode of The Hottee Talk Show Podcast. But seriously, that’s the guy I adore in my head. That is forever someone I will love.

Nick said that he shared these sentiments, but he also acknowledged that even if they were to reunite, the chemistry between them would likely be different the second time around.

“It was genuinely like a fairytale with Mariah, so I would like it just remain that way and I love that idea,” he stated. Yet if I had the chance, if things could go back to the way they were, I would be there in a heartbeat.
