Ex-member of “19 Kids and Counting” Jessa Duggar Seewald and her husband Ben Seewald announced in 2022 that they had experienced a miscarriage. Get knowledge about their painful loss.

Tragic news has struck the family of Jessa Duggar Seewald and her husband Ben Seewald.

The former star of 19 Kids and Counting has revealed that she experienced a miscarriage over the holidays in 2022. After Jessa had “spotting” throughout her pregnancy, she and Ben went in for an ultrasound on February 24 and found out the bad news there.

Jessa noted that the ultrasound technician’s voice had a note of alarm as soon as she began examining the baby. “She complimented the sack’s appearance. Not the baby.”

As Jessa reflected on her emotions at the moment, she recalled feeling both astonishment and loss.

She said, “The weight of those remarks in that time was something for which I was unprepared.” “At that very moment, I was taken aback by shock. Honestly, I was speechless. I suddenly burst into tears.”

After that, Jessa said, they proceeded to the hospital, where she had a dilation and curettage. She was nervous in the minutes before the surgery.

“They had prepared me for everything, but as they wheeled me out, all I could think was, “Please, can I just have one more ultrasound?” Just double-check, just to be sure “according to the Counting On alum. “I was worried that they misunderstood or made a mistake in some way.”

Jessa described the excruciating pain she endured during the procedure, but said the end of it was the worst.

Awakening from anesthesia following the treatment and realizing “that life that was in you is no longer there” was the most heartbreaking experience of her life, she added. You never even got to meet your child, let alone say your final farewell.

Jessa, who had a miscarriage in 2020 and is currently expecting again, said that she is having bloodwork done for “potential blood-clotting issues” in the hopes that the results may shed some light on the circumstances surrounding her loss.

Sarah and Ben also have four sons and a daughter: Spurgeon, 7, Henry, 6, Ivy, 3, and Fern, 19 months.

In another part of the video, Jessa says that she is grateful to God for giving them “this life,” even if they “wouldn’t be able to hold this kid in our arms.”
